Fibers

Organic Pima Cotton

Peruvian Pima cotton is one of the best quality types of cotton in the world. Ours is also organically grown.

  • Saves 46% of CO2e compared to conventional cotton
  • Uses ZERO toxic pesticides and fertilizers
  • Protects natural water reserves by using mainly rainwater

Conventional cotton workers suffer with serious health issues due to the exposure to toxic chemicals on daily basis, relies on irrigation and releases 220 million tonnes of CO2 a year

Peruvian Pima Cotton is harvested by hand which results in a clear white color and extra softness. Longer Pima Cotton fibers are softer and more durable than other types of cotton.

Aya's organic cotton is certified according to international standards.

Royal Alpaca Wool

Native to the Peruvian highlands, alpacas evolved in the most extreme and constantly changing conditions.

Alpaca's padded feet are gentle on the soil, avoiding soil erosion. Their teeth cut the grass which actually promotes plant regrowth. Alpaca droppings can be used as a natural fertilizer as well as biomass fuel.

  • Thermo-regulation
  • Moisture wicking
  • Anti-bacterial
  • Odor resistant
  • Breathable
  • Quick dry
  • Hypoallergenic

Although alpaca wool and merino are two similar fibers, there are several differences that make alpaca the winner of this battle.

  • Alpaca is warmer than merino
  • Alpaca is less itchy than merino
  • Alpaca is naturally hypoallergenic (zero lanolin)

Microplastics? No more!

We create our clothing in ways that prevent any further plastic pollution. We are well aware of the impact of microplastics. Our entire planet and our bodies have been contaminated with microplastic and nanoplastic particles, many of which are plastic textile fibers. We drink, eat, and breathe plastic pieces, and the health consequences are yet unknown.

This is why we made clothing that's 100% free of plastics and biodegrades in nature without leaving any trace behind.
